A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING

Your questions, answered.

Do I need experience to get started?

You can begin with the free Beginner’s Hub. In the guided CCG program, everyone starts with Level 1 to establish shared foundations—even experienced players.

Can I really compose if I don’t know much theory?

Yes. Start with a small musical idea and build from there. The free composition lesson gives you a framework to try, while CCG connects creative tasks with the musical understanding behind them.

What can I try without joining?

Watch the free composition lesson, explore the Beginner’s Hub, use the notation guides and visit Harmony Explorer. These pages do not require a CCG membership.

How is CCG different from a video lesson library?

You follow a pathway of practical tasks, share what you create or practise, and use feedback to improve. Live masterclasses, composing sessions, community, recitals and Level exams give your work direction.

Can I learn at my own pace?

Work steadily through your current Level and choose manageable tasks. The community and live sessions support your progress; you do not need to explore everything at once.

Can I use CCG on my phone or tablet?

The member community lives in Mighty Networks, which you can access on mobile. A computer or tablet is often more comfortable for scores and longer course work. Live sessions use Zoom.

What if I’m already an experienced guitarist?

Use Level 1 to check your foundations, then develop your creative musicianship, interpretation and independence through the pathway. Bring your current repertoire and creative questions to the live sessions.

How do I join the complete program?

Visit Explore CCG to understand the pathway, then follow the link to the current membership information. You can explore the free resources here before deciding.
